Ignition Timing 120-130

The idle or near idle timing isn't as important as the eventual maximum (for performance). You should reach that by 3500rpm or so. Adjust it so you have 30 or so total degrees advance--no more than 35. Whatever the idle timing setting is, is what it is -- if you know what I mean. You may need to adjust the idle speed afterwards. I saw your other post regarding carb adjustment. Get the timing set. Set the valves and then you can go from there. -- Dave
