When the car dies, have you pulled a spark plug to see if they are wet? Are they wet after you crank it a bit?

I had a 1960 Mini that died on the highway right after a tune up - clogged air cleaner.

Could your exhaust system be clogged? My wife once backed one of our 740s into a frozen snow bank and bent the tail pipe so much that it sounded like a steam whistle!
