check the coil as soon as the car refuses to start, make sure it is producing a spark. I had a coil that would allow the car to start, then it would run until the coil got warm and then it would shut down. Once everything cooled off, 10 or 15 minutes late, it would start right up. Of course, while it was runnibg the coil would always check out okay.
