Pulling a B20 out of a 140 140-160

You can remove them together but you have to have the car on jack stands high enough to allow a severe tilt. You have some choices as far as lift points. If the exhaust and intake manifolds are removed you can use an exhaust stud at the rear and one of the tapped bracket mounting points in front/left -- or leave the manifold(s) and use a discarded seat belt to wrap around the rear exhaust runner and bolted to a front tapped hole. I prefer to remove the valve cover, rocker shaft and pushrods and then attach the lifting chain to a couple of head bolts. A chain gives more options as far as tilt goes as you can insert a screwdriver through a link to press against the lifting hook. Remvoving the hood is helpful as well. -- Dave
