More tranny bits M41...Attn: Peter

Great info again...

My main point being though...Can't I just leave the whole layshaft in there? Assuming the bearings and thrust washers are seemingly OK of course. All I really need to get at is that single reverse gear on its own shaft off to the side. I can get that out and back in without removing the layshaft and gear, no?

If that is the case, I wouldn't even need them bearings.... or are they used somewhere else too?
