I like my 94 965 w/200hp and solid rear axle (can easily be converted from nivomat to normal spring/shock). The 95 and up were derated in power and have IRS along with more appealing exterior and many interior changes. Don't let the FAQ scare you. The 850/v70 wagons are much smaller than the 900/v90 series. The more bells and whistles mean more to repair. I've got a 240 w the na four banger, modified, and it isn't wagon material unless you never haul kiddies and stuff. I'm with you on the RWD. I can't stand torque steering and the feeling of being pulled around. We don't see enough ice or mud here in the south to warrant FWD. I drive jets and like the feel of power behind.
