940,960,V90 Which one to buy?

Jerry,

You wrote in the recent postings about which car to buy 945/965/Vv90 that your 960 "belt broke due to some hard material gauling one of the cam bearings and causing the intake cam to try and lock up thus snapping the belt and trashing the valves." Do you know what this hard material was, or any idea where it came from? I have a 97 965 w/ 111K miles and I feel like I'm treading on thin ice. I change oil every 3k miles using only Mobil 1 and Mann filters and watch underhood activity like a hawk. I really love the car but I certainly don't want to write a story on the bb anything like yours, therefore the query. Thanks in advance for any reply.
Don Haloin
