I have instructions for a 240 non turbo performance intake!

Two points

1 - Oiling the paper filter is not the same as oiling a K&N filter. Different composition. Different air flow. My guess is that the oiled paper filter will glog up pretty fast.

2 - You're still sucking in HOT air from inside the engine compartment. The stock setup pulls in cooler external air.

Sound isn't everything.
