You should be able to feel the injectors funciton as you crank it over. Try it in the working 940, so you know what they feel like. If they aren't working, I'd check the fuel pump relay and the radio suppression relay then the grounds.

Are you sure you have the timing right on the belt?

Did you try starting it with the AMM disconnected? (limp home mode)

Did you check the 740 FAQ?
