You could pull the injectors with the fuel rail, and have someone else crank the engine while you watch for squirts of fuel.
It is much easier to check them on the LH 2.2 cars: I just connect the distributor Hall effect connector to a spare distributor and spin the spare distributor. Without the starter running, you can hear the injectors clicking away (if they are clicking). Since the LH 2.4 car uses a RPM sensor it is a lot harder to make this check. If you had a spare RPM sensor you might be able to pass it over some sheet metal with holes and get the car to fire.
