Heater core failure? 700 1991

Hi Steve,

I know the rad is due for replacement and it's at the top of my list. Since the coolant leak ocurred during the winter at very low temps, I haven't had a problem. The coolant level hasn't changed noticeably. Do you think the rad has been leaking for close to 2 years and that's what I'm smelling? Would that explain why the smell appears to go away once the engine warms up?
