Rereading the thread, all I see where ignition is concerned is your mention of reseating the wires. I'll bet this was your first instinct, and I'd trust it; i.e. smell and look at all the plugs, measure wires, and examine cap and rotor. I'd suggest giving the secondary a misting while it is running well, but in SF you probably get one every morning.
