HA! Aparently you can read Ross Converse's mind as this has been done. Used the Ford 4wd main shaft and extention housing along with a custom adapter Ross had machined to mate up a Volvo overdrive unit. Works pretty slick and seems to be able to accept the power (although w/ the unit engaged I suspect quick failure) However, despite all involved with getting the unit installed the customer is still discouraged with the benefits and is also discouraged that the Volvo shift assembly can no longer be used (the overdrive unit is tucked right underneath the cut-out for the shifter and is now far too large to fit) and one of his main goals was to keep the appearance of the car completely stock. Tough to please!! This has been a fun one to say the least!
