Multilink to straight axle?

So I'm gathering from the responses the this thread. (Thank-you all by the way, what a wonderful resource) that the IRS w/ transverse leaf spring was only offered with the 3.73? I really think I could simplify this whole thing by offering a 3.31 swap.
