high tech does not necessarily equate to unreliable

Oh I agree, you should't have to put up second rate quality when you are paying for first rate quality. but, there are many other cars in production that are equipped with these "high tech" electronics that don't exhibit the same problems that Volvo's do. so, you can still have a modern high tech car that is reliable,just not a Volvo, not right now anyways.

Volvo has alot of work to do in order to bring their quality up to the standards of other makes that serve the same segment. however, in all fairness, the 2002 Volvo models have a MUCH lower TGW ("things gone wrong")index than the 1998-2001 models.
