My 1985 245 was doing a simlar thing if i pushed on the door then pulled the handel it would open then it would less and less... the i figured the door handle was the defective item. i had grabed a working one on a bone yard mission. When i when to install it i realized that the barrel nut that the handle catches was too high on the long bolt that holds it. i jamed my bony arms in the door threaded the barell nut down and when i tested the handle it worked. my arms looked like sylvia plaths after writing the bell jar but the door worked...hope this is of some use if you can muddle thru the bad spelling and some what made up names for the parts..
