ok, a few more tidbits.....my stack of fuel injection manuals, and the factory shop manual( my car is a '72 wagon ) , agree on a running pressure of 29 p.s.i. the how -to manuals say the "deadhead" pressure is roughly twice the running pressure. so, an ultimate pressure of around 60 ? my crusty old volvo manual says simply: " the pump should be capable of delivering 26.5 us gallons per hour at 29 p.s.i., and draw 5 amps. what happens if I put in a 90 g.p.h. pump ? it looks like it depends on how much fuel the regulator can by-pass, and the capacity of the return lines. anybody know a jedi fuel injection master ?
