d-jet fun 140-160

well, I bought the '89 ford f-150 pump that megasquirt uses, but no deal. It kicks right on, shuts off like it should after a few seconds, and runs continuously while cranking, but no start. maybe I should just go for the M.S.D. 2225, if that's what is working, or try to find the original, n.o.s. there is a lot of speculation out there on the net between off-road / high performance / and street rod people, but they all seem to be doing it by guess and by golly like me ! and I don't know jack ! ( but online people are skeptical of the 2225's durability , and don't like it's noise ) napa has a universal in-line that seems capable, which is tempting too, and walbro has good sounding pumps as well. hmmmmm, what I need is a fuel-injection guru engineer-type who has an understanding of the requirements of the different types of f.i. systems over the years, and has a feel for what will work for our d-jets. I'm gone for two weeks, but when I get back I will have to sort this out. fuelie.
