Considering the Same 120-130 1968

There's a lot of info out there one this conversion and one fellow even sells a wiring harness kit. You'll need to search for a P1800/1800E car club and there are a number of articles there on the topic.

Myself, I've been planning this conversion for quite a while before I found an donor 1800E. However, I've been dealing with an engine swap (to a B20 back in November) and now a full brake system and rear end upgrade (also from the 1800E) for my '67 P220. So unmaking the fuel system is a a little "down the road." For parts, I completely disassembled the 71 1800E and kept all the D-jet parts so I have it all on hand, but after looking at the MAP sensor prices and availability I've been strongly thinking about Meqasquirt. The MAP is the *heart* of the system and it's failure-prone

Everyone is quite correct that the D-jet system can be fussy - but I never had any issues with my own when it was still in the 1800E.

There is an article on putting a Magasquirt into an Amazon *other* than the Vclassics article. You'll have to Google it.

One very serious positive for going with an MS system is that the B20E/Djet cars are reportedly unresponsive to engine upgrades (performance cam particularly), so if you want a performance cam, you'll need to MS the engine to see any performance increase with a FI system.

BUT, all things being equal, the carbs would be the cheapest option. They'd also be impervious to an EM pulse in case aliens invade or anything nasty like that...
