Nice post, but this is a 12 year old thread. :)

You should be able to run a much bigger cam than D and still get a smooth idle with MS. I'd suggest something was wrong with your ignition curve because a D cam should idle smoothly at less than 500rpm, not that I would (not enough oil floating around for the cam)


I would also say that someone like the original poster that can't make a carbie or two run properly should not be allowed anywhere near the car with tools.
