So that's why the damn pillars are so thick. And it gets even more ridiculous when they stretch them forward to the point of adding a little triangular glass (on Toyotas & Hondas, e.g.). Have sat in some of these, and it feels like one is driving on an endless one-lane, arch-trussed bridge.
And the streamlining has gone way overboard, like an F-15 jet fighter plane even though max legal speed in Canada & U.S. is normally 110 mph. All right, some European (Japanese??) roads have higher limits, however, as we are trending toward self-driving cars, would we want so go faster?
BTW, have you seen the latest? Apparently, Jaguar/Land Rover are developing a "pothole detection system" Why can't we just fix the damn roads?
