engine removal 200 1990

With the MGB you'd pull the motor out--leave the tranny in. My Danish friend Gert is building a B230FT powered MGB roadster. He loves the way the MG tranny feels (I've owned 3 so I know what it's like) and although it complicated the swap to get the two components mated that's what he has now. It was his help and encouragement that got me over the finish line when I built my original VolvOdsmobile 285. Now it's almost ready for the road as a '93 285 instead of a '76 and with a Camaro 5-speed instead of the slushomatic. If the DMV in NY wasn't closed for in-person transactions I'd have it registered already. It's been off the road for 19 years--guess I can wait a bit more. - Dave
