Its not that the mechanics are incapable, nor that the cars are quirky, its the organization. A service writer or whatever thay are called nowadays who has limited technical knowledge is paid to enter as many line items on the work order as possible. In the case of our poor Mr. Mo the work order may have read "check for stalling", no history, no frequency, no details, no symptoms, no discussion with the mechanic who I am sure deep down would love to ask a few questions of the driver. The mechanic in turn is paid a flat fee for each part he installs, the more parts per car the better.
This is not an organization capable of providing ethical, professional, cost effective service. If that is it's true mission it is destined to failure. The fine people working within this organization are not motivated to accomplish this mission. Any first year business student understands this very well.
I will save comments for another day concerning unconscionable pricing of the parts.
