actually these technicians are doing 50-60% warranty work which seldom pays close to actual time. and techs do diagnose "customer pay" concerns rather professionally, if they were just parts hangers they would be broke. misdiagnosed concerns that return with same problem result in us eating the rest of the repair, and the technician eats his own time.
strange to think high salaries for competent technicians is unusual.
dont they pay good mechanics fair wages in your neck of the woods ?
Funny how we all forget those after warranty adjustments and other "dealer only" perks that are relied on when the going REALLY gets rough.
