Rhys, my engine has recently been rebuilt. Dont know about US but here in Aust we dont know what we are getting fuelwise, every outlet seems to be blending anything they like. there used to be tests to ensure quality but that went with deregulation. Your point that clearances may affect lifter and lobe ramp cant be?, that is ground into base circle and altering clearances can only vary valve timing. This might develop into a good discussion.
