Weird behavior or temp gauge (or overheating problem) 200 1983

It was about 5-10 deg. F overnight; about 15-20 F when my son observed the problem. The ratio of antifreeze should be 50/50, and it is fresh ( 1 year old) and looks clean. Because it persisted even after running a while then resting (which I think would cause any ice that might have formed to melt), I am still banking on electrical. We'll watch it, and consider the clogged radiator option as well.

Unfortunately, we don't have a heated garage so this is likely to wait until spring break.
