84 240 turbo, my ex-wife was driving, and we were on our way down Hammonds Plains Rd outside Halifax NS. There's one spot on that road where a right turn lane forms, then abruptly ends in soft muddy shoulder. She followed the white line, right into the mud at about 85km/h, then overcorrected & brought the tail around. Spun out & flipped over, spun around again in the ditch, came to a dead stop with a tree to the front bumper. I have no doubt that an airbag deployment would have killed her as she hung from the seatbelt with her head up by the windshield. As it was, we crawled out the window, without so much as a scratch. Worst injury was to her pride. The car is still on the road, shiny side up I might add, though I had to replace the windshield & do extensive hammering to make the trunk close again. And I replaced the seatbelts & buckles for some added peace of mind - they took quite a pounding when we rolled over.
