............but they're FREE under warranty. The recall mentioned adds an inline resistor and the customer gets 2 FREE bulbs as well.

On '98s, the bulbs were only warrantied 1 yr, 12K miles which didn't exactly please customers. The bulb warranty was then extended on '99 cars (not '98s) to 4yrs, 50K miles.

The bulbs you mention may be a better visual improvement upgrade but I just I'd mention the free-ness of warranty bulbs in the event that one hasn't had that recall done before, thus burning out many headlight bulbs.
