Re: lights constantly burning out S70 99

As Glen mentions below, there is a recall to correct wiring/socket deficiencies. Have a Volvo dealer run your VIN to find out if your car had the repair done which includes a new socket and now, apparently, a resistor. Recall repairs are free.

In 98, Volvo changed to a new halogen configuration (H7). Volvo electrical engineers appear to have miscalculated (or been misinformed) regarding the load and heat characteristics of the H7's.
