If one were to cross inductance with capacitance, would one then be "incapacitated."
Seriously, there are some questions about the quality of the lamps Volvo installs. According to my indy tech (Volvo, IPD certified), when exasperated bricksters finally come to his shop after their third set of lights burns out, he changes to a non-Volvo lamp....and gets no callbacks.
From a business perspective, I wonder what they're thinking in the Volvo engineering department. The purpose of a lower-grade lamp would be to reduce cost. But how much cost are they saving if they have to keep replacing lamps (pumps, sockets, controllers)? Or has Volvo corporate found a way to transfer these follow-up costs to the dealerships and the warranty underwriters? If that's the case, no wonder that Volvo dealer service is getting such a bad rep. Getting reimbursed for warranty repairs must be like a doctor trying to get reimbursement from your HMO. So they probably hate Volvo corporate...and your car.
