On March 17, I turned over my '99 V70R and a check for $1,000 to my local Volvo dealer. In exchange, I thought I was ordering a 2005 V50, for delivery in late April/early May. Yesterday, after checking in for my weekly status check, the dealer called me back to tell me that there is not going to be a car for me, because it is too late for Volvo to make a V50 to my specs.
Can someone tell me what my options are? Apparently there are no models that they can locate for me. They also said they would not be able to honor my price on a 2006 V50, which is what I think they should do. Do I have a leg to stand on? My cehck was cashed, and my trade-in car is long gone.
Needless to say, I'm disappointed and peeved to say the least, and don't want to have to settle for a car that doesn't have the options that I want.
Any advice? Thanks.
