Jetta? Golf with a trunk, isn't it? Also, a diesel in Toronto? That's north of Buffalo!

You may, or may not be a fan of Consumer Reports. CR on the Jetta: "Reliability has deteriorated from average the first year to below average now, so we no longer recommend it."

Do check out the VW Vortex forums, too.

I'd go for a 940T. Did they come with manual trannies in Canada? WOW! All we ever got down here was automagics!
