This throttle switch is a different animal. It is not the TPS you normally see on the LH injected cars. It looks like a set of ignition points. Very crude. On an 81, I don't think it will have any effect on the idling of your motor. Volvo didn't use the idle valve until 83 or 84 on the turbo's.
