Re: throttle switch missing? 200 1981

Thanks for all your insights! I think Dave may have hit the nail on the head because i don't have the constant idle system computer, but all the wiring is there..... and I was wondering if someone had removed it when they shouldn't have. Anyway, the intake looks remarkably like something "switch-like" was bolted there, but I guess that fooled me. It makes more sense that the switch never existed because the computer for it isn't there either....... and that is qhy I am happy that Dave was able to tell me that my specific car doesn't necessarily have that part.

One more questions..... is there any info out there on the internet that can tell me what the "bottlenecks" are in the 81 GLT's engine (2.1 non-turbo).... meaning is there anything I can do easily and cheaply to make it more powerful.... And I don't really mean changing the air filter, etc..... more like whether the exhaust manifold is no good....etc.

Great to have people with experience lurking and willing to help me out. Thank all!

Chris
