It does get confusing. In 82 for one year only and on the 240 turbo they
use an idle motor. All of the LH injection cars use an idle motor, also.
There is actually a set of air bypass hoses around the throttle and the
computer actually opens and closes the motor to regulate the idle.
To make things even more confusing when the idle motor system is used on
a K-jetronic car its called CIS. Constant Idle System. A lot of people
call the K-jet system CIS but I try to stay away from that to avoid the
confusion. Calling the K-jet by CIS means continuous injection system,
which is the way K-jet works. Eck's car actually has a pretty rare injection system version that was only used for 1 or 2 years.
