Re: throttle switch missing? 200 1981

My car has the K-Jet system. I think the air motor as I called it is called an air control motor. It is located above the valve cover in the center. To replace in my area, with an after market unit was around $ 100.

The switch senses the throttle position. The temp. sensor in the head sends engine temp. to the conputer. It averages it all and controls the air motor to bypass the throttle plate , which raises or loweres the idle as needed. Mine was out of whack , so I just blocked the Bypass hose off. Now as I said better milage .
