I have an 81 242 MPG car with the same switch. There is also a temp. switch in the head behind the distributor. It controls the idle for more MPG. On my car I just plugged the air motor and my MPG went up. It drives a little ragged until warm in the winter. Runs fine in warm weather. The dealer told me he had seen only a few cars in my area with this setup.
