do the points trigger the coil? if not, then you won't get spark. if the points ARE working, then check for spark at the coil, then to the cap, then the plug wires at the cap. if you pull 1 plug wire off at the plug and it's broken, you won't get spark. if the cap is cracked, you won't get spark at the plug. if the rotor is shot, you won't get spark at the plug. if the coil wire is broken someplace, the cap won't get spark. then old bosch coils for the points ignition are virtually bullet proof, not like the newer electronic systems. you may need a coil, but another problem is more likely. good luck, chuck.
