How do i check my coil? 1800

did you check the small terminal on the coil that comes from the points? if there is no pulse there, the coil won't work.

if this is good, leave all the plug wires where they belong. then remove the coil wire from the coil and crank the motor. if there is spark, then the points and the coil are working. if the points ARE working and hooked up right and still, there's no spark, then check for 12 volts on the OTHER small terminal-15-on the coil. if the ignition sw is on and the points are triggering the coil and there's no spark from the coil to the coil wire, then it's the coil. if you have spark, the plug back into the coil and pull the coil wire out of the cap. no spark-needs a set of wires. got spark-plug it in and pull a wire out of the cap for the plugs, try again.

i see you have new parts listed, i hope it's all bosch. i've seen generic stuff make trouble out of the box. i've even had bosch wires give problems out of the box, 1 set had a defective coil wire. the points have to set right and all connections tight and correct. i can't tell what you've done or how you've done it. the light here sucks, i can't see under your hood. good luck, chuck.
