Are you saying that the stock cam is known as "K"?
No, the K cam is the one from K-Jet injected '74 B20's.
I'm thinking of using some accumulated parts to save some money.
If you are on a budget & you have a big pile of bit's, make an engine out of the best parts that you have. If those B18 +.030" pistons are new, get your B18 bored & honed & use those pistons. If you have old C cams with all the lobes intact, you can only reuse it provided that you have the lifters from it numbered so that you can put the lifters back on the same lobes. When you are looking at old engines that can stand a re-ring, the important measurement is the witdh of the top ring groove. It should be no bigger than about .005" wider than the piston ring if you hope to get any distance out of it.
