B18 or B20 140-160

I'd disagree with that somewhat. If you are cruising town doing 35mph in top gear & you stand on the gas, neither will try and accelerate very quickly & a downshift to 3rd would be called for & the extra torque is a moot point.

Side by side with gear changes at 6000rpm they both accelerate at the same speed. The extra torque of bigger B20B is used up on it's heavier conrods & pistons.

If you would like more anecdotal opinions on B18B's ask Phil how his B18B was as quick as other B20E's.
