Effect of Low Compression on MPG 700 1989

I am making a claim against a company that sold me a reconditioned engine that was not reconditioned.

It has compressions 30% below spec, hot and cold, according to the Volvo main dealer.

One item of the claim is the extra fuel I will have used because of the low compression and loss of efficiency.

Is there a general rule which says how much more fuel I would have used?

Does 30% less compression mean the mpg drops by 30%?

This is a 760 Turbo.
