Effect of Low Compression on MPG 700 1989

Thank you for the thoughts.

I am not sure of the method, but it is the Volvo Main Agent for this area so assume it was by the book and if necessary can get a methodolgy report to send to the Ombudsman.

Results were in MPa (Psi)

COLD
0.75 (108)
0.62 (90)
0.62 (90)
0.82 (119)

HOT
0.72 (104)
0.68 (99)
0.68 (99)
0.80 (116)

I understand the spec is 9-11, bar 0.9 - 1.1 Mpa (130.5-159.5 Psi)
and all cylinders should be within 2Bar 0.2Mpa (29 psi)
So they just fit within the 2 bar criteria but are a long way down.
The engine is being stripped at a reputable shop as we speak so I should know more on the cause soon.
