If you get the carbs right (this includes understanding how they work and being sure that they don't have
leaky throttle shafts) they are GREAT and much better than the Weber setup.
Generally exhaust valve seat recession is not much of a problem unless you run the car very hard for
extended periods of time. You can recognize it by the exhaust valve clearances diminishing or disappearing.
A good OLD automotive machine shop can put in new seats for you if they are needed.
If you can find one, I would look for a 69-72 model as they had the B20 engine which is somewhat better
in several respects, especially the valvestem seals. It is not much more powerful than a well-tuned B18.
