I'm sorry. When I wrote gum, I had lost the context of the thread and reverted to my "sitting for a year" mode instead of overnight. Don't concern yourself with cleaning the distributor yet. But as you know, it takes spark, compression, and a reasonable fuel/air mix to get fire. So far we've covered spark.
