What I've learned is that the FWD auto trannies from 96-98 are pretty much bulletproof. Just flush them every 30-50k and they are good to go. The 94-95 850's and 99-2000 C/S/V70's can be good. My 95 850 has been good so far at 188k (fingers crossed...:)

Avoid the 93 850's and the 2001-2002 C/S/V70's with the slushbox.
