Hi, Jim. Good luck with fixing windows drivers (I assume it's windows). Let me know if you need help. I do this kind of thing a lot. Tell me what version windows etc. I may be able to help.
As for the car, I found the tutorials for the tailgate struts (bay 13 on Volvospeed has a tutorial on trim removal, so no need to remove the gate). I also found a tutorial for the door check mechanism. It's not really a hinge, though it's often called that. I did not have a lot of time with the car, but I believe the strap is not attached inside the door, but is attached to the A-pillar. So, at least the door check thing inside the door needs to be replaced. That's about $40 at Tasca. I don't know for a fact that the pillar part (spot weld) is not broken also. Not sure where to get tailgate struts and how much they are. I assume around $50 for the pair. Also, the passenger side view mirror is cracked. I think you can replace just the glass part. I believe it's heated. Not sue how much that will cost. The interior of the car is very clean save for e seat seam rip. Mechanically the car feels real nice and very quiet. No funny suspension noises, pretty good brake feel, descent acceleration. I have found no fluid leaks, but I have not looked underneath the car (too cold and dark last night). I am just trying to see how much all the little things will cost and then will probably make an offer on the car.
