SU performance tuning... 1800

Are you paying for these dyno runs? If so don't do it! Save up for a ported head. I wouldn't buy TWM ram tubes either, they won't really show any gain because HIF6 SU's already flow plenty of air, put that money towards a ported head too.

For ignition timing, remove the stiff advance spring from your dizzy, or just bend the tab over a bit so that it never kicks in. Now you can set your timing where it counts the most. At 3500rpm set it to 32-34 degrees. Whatever it will be at idle doesn't matter that much. If it pings at low speed, tighten the other small advance spring until it goes away.
