SU performance tuning... 1800

??? You want more advance at light loads.
I wasn't referring to wanting more advance at lower loads, I know that's what it wants and needs. My problem with understanding it all is that I was thinking higher loads would mean a greater vacuum. You pointed out that that's wrong thinking, so it all makes sense now. =D Thanks!

And about the air horns, the stub stacks that I'm talking about aren't really stacks at all, it's just a flat little thing that bolts on and is radiused on the outside, bad description, but what I'm thinking of as a stub is just something that's about a quarter of an inch "tall". And actually, according to the TWM website, they were saying there needs to be something like two inches between the end of the air horn and the airbox or something. Don't quote me on it, I can't remember. But the air horns that TWM has available for the HIFs would be 2"tall, and then that would leave very little room in the stock airbox for adequate room. I just went out and measured roughly the stock airbox. From the front carb there is probably 4" of depth, and then in the rear maybe 3" of total depth. This is going to the max depth available though, and the box is rounded so there isn't really that much room. Yeah, not enough space in there for running the 2" air horns with the box on it. TWM sells a deeper airbox that I could get and toss on there though and run the air horns in it. FWIW. But I'm not going to be doing that. No money for that fun. the money'll go towards the dyno time instead. Then next money stop will be getting my 74 bottom end rebuilt... =D
