SU performance tuning... 1800

Any dyno that is not using SAE or STP correction factors for temp and barametric pressure is not worth going to.

Not sure that you got my point on timing. For dyno purposes, forget the setting at 1000rpm. Set the timing at full advance and do a series of runs with full advance set at 28, 30, 32, and 34. If 34 is the best do another run with it set at 36.
This will quickly tell you how much advance your engine likes. When we finish a tuning session where there has been significant jetting or exhaust changes, we do another couple of runs with the timing more and less advanced than the baseline for the other runs to see if the changes have affected the optimum timing.

Also, the type of carb spacing to change the intake length that I am talking about is a minimum of 1.5 inches, and should go up from there to 2 - 3 inches.
